Care & Community

For most of the students at our school CARE happens around them, about them and for them.

It is more than the 30 minute lesson each week; it’s more than PROMOTE class. CARE is about the culture of our school.

It is bigger than the people in our school; it is bigger than the opportunities available to our students. It is about the relationships and connectedness that we make as our school community as we learn to know and understand our students.

Characteristics of CARE include; a vibrant House Cup Competition organized by House Leaders, House based PROMOTE classes supported by a Year Leader, Student Leadership Opportunities at all Year Levels including an active Student Council and Student Clubs including the Kingfisher Club, Leo’s, Robina Junior Chamber of Commerce.

This school prides itself on the specialized support it can offer our students including; Year Leaders, career guidance, student pathways director, youth worker, school nurse, school police officer, youth pathways officers, community liaison officer, learning support and a Responsible Thinking Centre for managing student behaviour.

Our PROMOTE program aims to develop our PROMOTE values of Pride, Respect, Ownership, Manners, Opportunities, Teamwork and Excellence in all our students. Activities, Projects and learning experiences centre around these values which are led by the students’ PROMOTE teacher.

It is the sum of all these parts that makes CARE something that Robina State High School is very proud of.
